Based on the rave reviews on the net, we were ready for fun yet relaxing time at The Frangipani, which is at the edge of Pantai Chenang. Check out the view...
The Frangipani's an eco-friendly resort, so recycling and tree-planting activities are strongly recommended.
Facilities are pretty decent with 2 swimming pools, bikes for rent, a games area with pool tables, congkak board, books (in Russian) to read etc...
And here's the beach...
Makan at the main restaurant's a pretty neat experience as well with a spectacular view of the nearby islands and sounds of waves crashing.
We also rented a car to check out what else Langkawi had to offer. And the Makam Mahsuri was a surprisingly interesting attraction.
We then drove down to Kuah and stopped by this famous Langkawi landmark.
For dinner, we headed back to Pantai Chenang to indulge in some seriously good seafood.
More sandcastles were built on the third day and we also checked out the Underwater World.
My previous visits to Langkawi were for work/business, so this was a refreshing experience for me. Plus, the brood were happy, this being their first time and all, so I'd give this trip a two thumbs up!
